Buddy Printables sells digital downloads through this website and Etsy. This page explains which data is processed along the way.
Buddy Printables, based in The Hague, the Netherlands. Questions about your data? Email hallo@buddyprintables.nl — you will hear back within two working days.
This site uses Google Analytics to see how many people visit and which pages they read. That records your (truncated) IP address, your device and browser type and the pages you visited. We only use those figures in aggregate; we do not try to identify visitors and attach no names to them. The statistics are kept by Google under their retention policy.
Cloudflare, where this site is hosted, also sets technical cookies needed to serve the site securely and quickly.
If you buy on this site with the Buy now button, you pay on a Stripe checkout page. Link (part of Stripe) is the merchant of record and processes your name, email address, country and payment details as an independent controller; the Stripe and Link privacy policies apply to that data. From Stripe we only receive the order summary: which product, the amount, your email address and your country. We keep that for as long as the law requires for bookkeeping (seven years). The thank-you page with your downloads and My purchases have no Google Analytics.
After a purchase your browser keeps a note in its local storage of the orders you placed on this device, so you can see them again under My purchases. When you sign in, your browser remembers that for 30 days, until you click Sign out. It stays on your device. When you sign in at My purchases, we use your email address to look up your orders at Stripe; we don't store anything extra.
After your purchase you get an email with your download link and order code, and on request a sign-in code for My purchases. We send those emails through Brevo (Paris, France), which only processes your email address and the email itself for this.
If you buy in our Etsy shop, Etsy processes your name, email address and payment and invoicing details, and is the controller for that data. Etsy's privacy policy applies to it. All we see of an order is what the platform shows us: usually the order summary and the email address you contact us from.
If you email us, we keep that message for as long as we need it to deal with your question and to know the history if you write again. We do not use your address for marketing unless you signed up for it.
If you sign up for the newsletter, we store your email address, when you signed up and confirmed, and on which page. You are only on the list after you clicked the link in the confirmation email and confirmed. If you don't confirm, we delete your address after thirty days. We send you new printables, seasonal ideas and the occasional offer, at most twice a month. Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link; after you unsubscribe we send you nothing more. Your address is stored in our website's database at Cloudflare (in Europe) and the emails are sent via Brevo. We don't share your address with anyone else.
There is a chat in the bottom right corner of the site. Your question goes to our site at Cloudflare and is first answered by Buddy, an AI helper from Anthropic (United States). Anthropic only receives the text of your question and does not use it to train its models; we do not keep the questions you ask Buddy. If Buddy does not know, or you choose to ask the team, your message goes to the Buddy Printables team via Telegram, who answer there. Messages written in a language other than Dutch are translated for us by Anthropic. Messages to the team are kept in our site's database at Cloudflare (in Europe) until twelve months after the last message and are then deleted automatically. They are also in the team's Telegram chat. You do not need an account: your browser gets a random identifier in its local storage so you can see your conversation again. If you give us your email address, we only use it to answer your question. Do not put payment details or order codes in the chat.
We do not sell your data and do not share it with anyone other than the parties listed above, who are needed to run the site or handle your order.
You may ask what data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, and object to its use. Email hallo@buddyprintables.nl. If we cannot resolve it together, you can contact the Dutch Data Protection Authority.
